About Our Shop

Favorite Recent Comic Book: I like the independents, mainly.

Special Events: Free Comic Book Day

Community involvement: We support the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts.

How was your FCBD event? We are starting to see some repeat customers.

What did you like about the Retailer Summit? I like the insight into publisher's plans.

What aspect of your store are you most proud of? I truly love the hobby and I'm still a collector myself.

What has been your best in-store promotion? The major comic book events actually work best for us.

What recent changes have you made to your store? I try to keep a consistent look to the store, thus I haven't made any major changes.

What are your plans for the near future? Just keep things going forward.

How did you choose your store name? First, the store is located in the "Unicorn Building". Second, my two daughters love unicorns so the name was perfect.

A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles blimp flies overhead, surveying a landscape densely populated by comic books and Star Wars toys. The people demand more comics and toys, and they shall have them! Owner Terry Kalkanian stands behind the counter with a comic of his own making, New Beginning.
