How was your FCBD event? Awesome! Every year we see lots of new faces and a ton of children from around the neighborhood. We're all in on FCBD!
What did you like about the Retailer Summit? Meeting other retailers and networking, exchanging ideas and ramping it up!
What aspect of your store makes you the most proud? Our positive role in our local community.
What do you do that is innovative within your store? We stay open, we deliver absolutely super, old school customer service and we provide a great place to talk about those damn comic books!
What has been your best in-store promotion? It happens daily. By playing our "A" game every day. Promotions are great but it's the day to day efforts that will win in the long run!
What has been your best out-of-store or cross-promotion? Working with local theaters for advance or private movie screenings, cross promotions with other local businesses, supporting good grades at local schools!
What recent changes have you made in the store? Remodeling the comic racks, repainting the exterior and always redesigning the interior to keep it fresh and full of comicy goodness!
What are your plans for the near future? Keep fighting the good fight. Really emphasize development of new customers, look for opportunities to effectively get the word out about comic books, pay attention to the evolving technology issues and continue our campaign to have McDonalds bring back the McFeast sandwich!
How did you choose your store name? The original owner was a man named Svendson. He remains cloaked in mystery as the years roll by. Some say he's still out there ready to return when the comic book industry is in its darkest hour and needs him most!
