What aspect of your store makes you most proud? The clean and organized atmosphere
What do you do that is innovative within your store? I organize, clean, and make sure everything is in Alphabetical and Numerical order at all times !!! People don't have to hunt for what they are looking for. If it's here, they can find it quickly and easily.
What has been your best promotion? “The Golden Ticket” sale (on back issues)
What recent changes have you made to your store? We recently moved to a new location (on Sept. 1, 2009). After being in the same building in Kenmore, WA since 1981, the store in now located a couple miles down the road in Totem Square shopping plaza in Kirkland, WA. Bigger, nicer location with lots of walk-by traffic and easy access from the freeways.
What are your plans for the near future? Continue to promote and have sales, in-store signings, gaming events, and offer incentive coupons.
How did you choose your store name? When I purchased the store in 1998, I kept the same name that it had when the previous owner opened it in 1981. The store was originally located on a corner of the building. Over the years, it has since moved off the corner but the name stays the same. Name recognition is EVERYTHING! And Corner Comics is well known in Western Washington.
