How was your Free Comic Book Day ‘09? Overwhelming! Never less than 80 to 100 people in the store at any given time
What did you like about the Retailer Summit? Interacting and trading ideas with other retailers
What aspect of your store makes you proudest? The overall look of the store; very bright and inviting – not your average shop.
What do you do that is innovative within your store? We try to have something for everyone/subscription perks/wide variety of product. Monthly BOGO specials to get customers hooked on a new series.
What has been your best in-store promotion? FCBD is always big. Our chain also does “March Madness” sales every year.
What has been your best out-of-store or cross-promotion? Retro movie night. Customers vote on movies to show at the theater next door. Our first one was Evil Dead/Army of Darkness and was a near sellout.
What recent changes have you made in the store? Constantly rearranging product and displays to keep things fresh. Added more back issue bins, and 2 other shelving displays for new products.
