DC Direct Honors Looney Tunes with Golden Collection Figures
Next spring, some of television and cinema's most beloved cartoon characters will be forever immortalized as DC Direct releases the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Series 1 Action Figures (SEP050321-22, PI), starring the legendary characters of the Warner Bros. cartoons.
The adventures of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and the rest of the gang played pivotal roles in the childhoods of many of today's comics fans and collectors, and have earned a special place in their hearts. These are the toys fans of the classic cartoons have been clamoring for, and thanks to DC Direct, they're finally coming to toy shelves.
The new Looney Tunes action figures are plucked directly from some of their most memorable animated shorts. From "The Scarlet Pumpernickel" cartoon comes the Daffy Duck and Sylvester AFs and from "What's Opera, Doc?" comes the Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd AFs. Each figure is advance-solicited for sale in April, and stands between 4.75" and 6.5" tall. They feature multiple points of articulation, come with loads of accessories, a base and a scenic backdrop card.
The figures are scheduled to ship to stores in May.
