Spawn: Simony Gives Spawn a French Twist
One of the few Spawn tales created by a publisher other than Todd
McFarlane Productions will make its long-awaited U.S. debut in May when Image
Comics presents the Spawn: Simony (MAR041416, $7.95) one-shot, written by
Alex Nikolavitch & Jeff Porcherot, and illustrated by Aleksi Briclot for the
respected French publisher Semic.
(Please Note: Nikolavitch is erroneously credited as the book's artist in the solicitation that appears in Previews.)
The 64-page one-shot takes place after the events of Spawn #100 -- before Al Simmons' separation from his hellish alter ego -- as Spawn's mentor, Cogliostro, tries to rid himself of the Hellspawn curse.
The English-language release of this double-length story dealing with the effects of Spawn's "justice" will also be complemented by extra editorial content and striking pin-up art.
