Dynamite Announces New Vampirella #1 Tim Sale Cover

Before Twilight, before True Blood, there was Vampirella. With the vampire craze still going strong, this week Dynamite Entertainment brings the scourge of the undead back to comic shops with the long-awaited release of Vampirella #1 (SEP100927E, $3.99).
Making the series' start all the more spectacular, Dynamite has announced the availability of a Vampirella #1 Tim Sale Limited Edition Cover (OCT108115E, $3.99), exclusive to the direct market, limited to a 4,000 copy print run, and set to go on sale December 22, the same day as Vampirella #2 (OCT100924E, $3.99).
Retailers may order as many copies of the Sale cover as desired, with orders to be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To receive your copies by December 22, your order must be placed no later than Sunday, December 12.
"These are first prints that were printed at the same time as the other covers, but we wanted to make them available after retailers received and had a chance to sell through #1's," said Nick Barrucci, President of Dynamite Entertainment.

Vampi returns to a new, darker world in this all-new Dynamite series written by Eric Trautmann and illustrated by Wagner Reis. Her first case: find her ever-hungering nemesis, Vlad Dracula. Plus, this debut includes a rare story by Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale, and ships with evenly distributed covers by J. Scott Campbell, Alex Ross (who also contributes a 1:21 Original Art Variant), Jelena Kevic-Djurdjevic, and Joe Madureira.

Retailers have been impressed by the critical and fan reaction to Vampirella #1's release should note that Vampirella #4 (DEC100860E, $3.99) can be found on page 253 of the December PREVIEWS and is scheduled to ship with a cover from Djurdjevic, Jason Pearson, Paul Renaud, and Ale Garza in an equal split. The issue is also available in a 1:10 Pearson Red Variant (DEC100861J), 1:15 Garza Black & White Variant (DEC100862J), and 1:25 Renaud Virgin Art Variant (DEC100863J).
Again, be sure to also order ample copies of Vampirella #2 (OCT100924E, $3.99) for those customers that pick up the series opener and want more. And remember that your initial order for Vampirella #3 (NOV100855E, $3.99) is due online November 30, so act quickly to qualify to order the issue's variant incentive covers (Please check the November Retailer Order Form for details.)
