Details on the latest Narnia releases from Dark Horse and Weta Collectibles -- a division of the Academy Award-winning New Zealand-based Weta Workshop responsible for the amazing visual effects of The Lord of the Rings trilogy -- are as follows:
• Weta: Narnia General Otmin Statue: 15" tall, 8.5" wide and 13.5" long, this piece depicts the Minotaur warrior at his fiercest, leading the White Witch's army, battle-axe in mid-swing as he attacks an unseen opponent. Sculpted by Ryk Fortuna.
• Weta: Narnia Minoboars Maquette: This 12"-tall, 8.5"-wide, 7"-long collectible offers a detailed look at the brutish, porcine soldiers of the White Witch's forces. Sculpted by Stephen Crowe, this maquette is similar to ones used by the film's computer animators and costume designers.
• Weta: Narnia Satyr Design Maquette: 14" tall, 8" wide and 7" long, this maquette, a replica of one used by designers working on the film, shows close-up details of one of Aslan's goat-like infantry. Sculpted by Steve Unwin.
• Weta: Narnia Mr. Tumnus Maquette: This gorgeous, 17.5"-tall, 8"-wide, 7"-long piece, based on the actual maquette used by the film's various artisans, captures the sad, loyalty-torn creature who ultimately befriends Lucy Pevensie and helps her escape the White Witch's clutches.
